NEW ROCHELLE, NY — The October Big Book Sale conducted by the Friends of the New Rochelle Public Library will take place in the library lobby on Friday, October 5th, and Saturday, October 6th, from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm. The public may select from a wide range of gently used and highly discounted hardcover and paperback books, dvds, and more.
The Friends’ Book Store is open every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday throughout the month, from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm. The executive board of the Friends of the Library, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, coordinates the book sales with the assistance of other Friends’ volunteers. Money realized from book sales are used to underwrite the Library’s extensive public programs. The Friends welcome prospective volunteers.
