WHITE PLAINS, NY — Have an emerging filmmaker at home waiting to unleash their inner Hitchcock or Kubrick? The Picture House of Horror Movie Making Workshop at The Picture House Regional Film Center will get them off the screen and in front of the camera to learn how to make an original scary movie from professional filmmakers in just two short workshops taking place Saturday, October 13 and Saturday, October 20 from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Young filmmakers and actors will come together at TPH’s Satellite Film Lab to brainstorm, write, film, and edit an original short horror film. The final product will make its big screen debut before the popular annual Rocky Horror Picture Show screenings the weekend of October 27-28 and will be eligible to be entered into the 2019 Future Filmmakers Film Festival, hosted by The Picture House in April.

The cost for the Picture House of Horror Movie Making workshop is $125 and members at the Family Level or higher receive a 10% discount.
