NEW ROCHELLE, NY — Sporting serving aprons, Interim Superintendent Dr. Magda Parvey and New Rochelle City Manager Charles Strome III stood along with other city administrators and staff in the House IV cafeteria of New Rochelle High School, serving 150 residents at the annual Thanksgiving Community Dinner.
More than a dozen local businesses made the evening possible with their donations, including 15 turkeys from ShopRite. Other businesses that donated food or volunteered to prepare the turkeys were: A.J.’s Burgers, the Beechmont Tavern, Chat 19, Escape Latino, Foodtown, Hurley’s Steakhouse & Pub, La Casona, Modern Restaurant & Lounge, North End Tavern, Posto 22, Rib King, Texas Roadhouse and The Break Factory.
“Our community partnerships make important events like this possible, today and throughout the year,” said Strome.
“We have so much to be thankful for in New Rochelle, and I am grateful for the opportunity to give back to the community,” Dr. Parvey said. “I want to wish everyone a happy, healthy Thanksgiving.”
