NEW ROCHELLE, NY — The New Rochelle Board of Education invites the community to attend a Town Hall meeting to discuss the search for a new Superintendent of Schools, starting at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 4, in the auditorium of Isaac E. Young Middle School, 270 Centre Ave.

At the session, the community will meet Dr. Harold A. Coles, Superintendent of Southern Westchester BOCES, who has been retained to conduct the search. Members of the public will have the opportunity to give their input on what qualities they would like to see in the District’s next top educator.

“The search for a new permanent Superintendent is one of the Board of Education’s most important priorities,” said Board President Jeffrey Hastie. “The community’s input will be invaluable in making sure we choose the right candidate for New Rochelle.”

The regularly scheduled Board of Education will follow the Town Hall session at 7:15 p.m.

Spanish translation services will be provided. In addition to hosting the meeting, the Board will post an on-line survey that members of the public can fill out. The survey will be posted on the District’s website, www.nred.org, for two weeks beginning Monday, Dec. 3.
