Man Struck by Car in Downtown New Rochelle Fighting for His Life

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — A New Rochelle man is fighting for his life after he was struck by a car in downtown New Rochelle.

Johnny Gialanella, 27, of Yonkers, NY was charged with Vehicular Assault 2nd, a class E felony and DWI-1st Offense, a misdemeanor.

At approximately 0119Hrs, March 31, 2019 a 27 year old male pedestrian and resident of New Rochelle was struck at the intersection of Huguenot Street & Memorial Highway. He was treated at the scene by EMS & New Rochelle Fire Department personnel and subsequently transported to Jacobi Medical Center with serious head trauma. He is in critical but stable condition.

  1. The victom is now brain dead and on life support iys sad to know that New Rochelle police seemed to some how lose the accidenr report seems like and inside job someone must of gotten paid
