NEW ROCHELLE, NY — New Rochelle police made four arrests last week after a handgun was brandished during an assault.
On May 23 at 3:14 a.m., police responded to the vicinity of 108 Locust Avenue.
“Our agency received a report of an assault that had just occurred, where a handgun was brandished and the suspects had fled the location in a vehicle,” said New Rochelle Police Captain Cosmo Costa. “A vehicle stop was conducted at the intersection of Franklin Avenue and Union Street which ultimately led to the recovery of a loaded Smith & Wesson 9mm handgun.
Four people were subsequently arrested and charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd.
Two females, including the driver, Stephanie, G. Lopez, 25 and Fallon, M. Cruz, 22, and two males, Christian, N. Ancrum, 19, and Darren Smith, 22.
All four were arraigned by Judge Carbone on 5/23/19 on a charge of Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd Degree, a Class C Felony. They are returnable to Court on June 17 at 9:30 a.m.
A $2,000 bond was posted by Fallon Cruz and $1500 cash bail posted by Stephanie Lopez.
A $50,000 cash or bond was set on Darron Smith. A $25,000 bond or $10,000 cash was set on Christian Ancrum. At this time neither has been posted.
