NEW ROCHELLE, NY — Dr. Magda Parvey has been named Superintendent of the Andover Public Schools, the public school district for the town of Andover, Massachusetts. She will oversee 10 educational facilities, ranging from pre-kindergarten to the 12th grade. She will succeed interim Superintendent Claudia Bach,
Parvey is currently the chief academic officer if the Middletown Public Schools in Middletown, Connecticut where has worked for 16 months after leaving the City School District of New Rochelle where she served as chief academic officer and, for her last year in New Rochelle, as Interim Superintendent.
Parvey expects to leave the district sometime in June and begin her new appointment July 1, according the Middletown Press.
This reporter was interviewed by the Andover search committee. Her former boss in New Rochelle, Dr. Brian Osborne, was not.
