New Rochelle BOE Announces Meeting to Introduce New Superintendent, First In-Person Meeting in Over a Year

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — The New Rochelle Board of Education has announced a meeting Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. at City Hall to announce the hiring of a new Superintendent, widely believed to be Jonathon P. Raymond, the former head of the Sacramento Schools.

The Board of Education of the City School District of New Rochelle will hold a Special Meeting on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at 7:30 PM in the Board Room at Central Administration (City Hall), 515 North Avenue, Second Floor, New Rochelle, New York. The purpose of the Special Meeting is for the Board to appoint a new Superintendent of Schools.

The official announcement with details is expected to be made tomorrow.

The session will be the first in-person board meeting in over a year. New Rochelle schools were the first in New York State to close, on March 11, 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
