NEW ROCHELLE, NY — A New Rochelle man, age 39, told police he was robbed at gun point and his car stolen late Thursday night.
The victim reported that after he pulled into his driveway and exited his car, he observed a Hyundai sedan pass him in a suspicious manner. Shortly thereafter, according to the victim, he was confronted by a black male in his twenties wearing a dark-colored gator style mask, and an N.Y. Yankees baseball cap. The victim stated the male brandished a handgun and ripped the complainant’s chain from his neck before entering the victim’s car and driving off.
New Rochelle police officers were dispatched at 11:40 p.m. to 132 Beechwood Ave on a report of an armed robbery of a motor vehicle.
The stolen BMW and the Hyundai were last seen fleeing the area on Beechwood Ave towards Main St.
