PORT CHESTER, NY — A 15-Year-old was arrested by Port Chester Police and charged with Attempted Robbery-2nd the day after an attempted strong-armed robbery the night before.
A pregnant female, aged 32, was pushed to the ground while walking with her family on Westchester Avenue at about 9:20 p.m. on Wednesday, June 9, according to Port Chester PD.
During the altercation, her purse was grabbed in an attempt to take it, but she resisted, and the assailant fled the scene empty-handed.
The victim was transported to the hospital for minor injuries and observation.
Both uniformed officer’s and Detective’s immediately began a canvass for witnesses and any video in the area. The perpetrator was identified, and an arrest was made on June 10.
The matter was referred to family court. Due to the juvenile status, no other information can be released.
