There has been a lot of uninformed speculation and misinformation about how Superintendents are evaluated generally and in New Rochelle in particular. The way it works is that as part of contract negotiations, the Superintendent and School Board agree on what type of evaluation form will be used for annual review.
I made a FOIL request for, “A description of the job duties, or goals to be achieved by the Superintendent; A final rating of highly effective, effective, developing, ineffective. I would like to get both the job duties/goal and final rating doc for each year from Jan. 1, 2011 to present.”
