NEW ROCHELLE, NY — Hayden Jaques-Samuels, aged 20, from New Rochelle, was arrested and charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd Degree after New Rochelle Police Officers on patrol heard multiple gun shots coming from the Heritage Homes housing complex.
On July 15th, at about 11:16pm, responding officers observed a male leaving the area and a subsequent stop of this individual on Morris Street found him to be in possession of a .40 caliber ‘Ghost Gun’ with no serial number.
Hayden Jaques-Samuels involvement in the shooting is still under investigation.
The area was searched and multiple 9 mm shell casings were found in two locations in the complex.
UPDATE: “We do believe the person was somehow involved but right now there is nothing linking the gun since the caliber was different than the shell casings we found at the scene,” said Captain J. Collins Coyne.
Anyone with information on this incident is encouraged to call New Rochelle Police at 914-654-2300.
Ghost gun? Was the serial # scratched off or the frame was never serialized? Also from the picture there is a threaded barrel for a suppressor/silencer. Important point to mention as that is also illegal in NY.
Feel free to call New Rochelle Police Department at 914-654-2300 and chat them up on your observations.
