Mamaroneck Man Accused of Defacing Black Lives Matter Mural Previously Charged with Assaulting a Police Officer

MAMARONECK, NY — Andrew Lamb, aged 23, of the Village of Mamaroneck appeared Thursday before VOM Judge Daniel J. Gallagher. He is facing a charge of Criminal Mischief in the Fourth Degree as a Hate Crime, an E Felony, follow his arrest on July 12.

He was also scheduled to appear on August 8 on a separate docket before Judge Christie L. Derrico on an unrelated arrest last November, but Judge Gallagher combines the two dockets, both assigned to Judge Derrico

Lamb was arrested on November 15, 2020, for Assault 2nd degree. He allegedly struck a Police Officer with his vehicle during a drug investigation, according to a VOM Police spokesperson.

Lamb was arrested in July 2021 by Village of Mamaroneck Police in connection with an incident where an individual alleged to be Lamb dumped a can of paint on the Black Lives Matter mural located on Van Ranst Place.

Defendants, lawyers, and others gathered outside the Village of Mamaroneck due to the limited capacity of the already small courtroom in the Mamaroneck Municipal Building.

Among them was Lamb, as well as a man who told the Court he was Lamb’s father, Lamb’s lawyer and two representatives from MAHTI which was previously appointed to work with Lamb.

Mental Health Alternatives to Incarceration or MHATI provides community services to people with serious mental illnesses by using both intensive and supportive case management. People with serious mental health and those with co-occurring disorders who have been arrested on a misdemeanor or non-violent felony charge may be sentenced to participate in treatment and services under the supervision of the MHATI program.

Lamb’s lawyer sought the return of Lamb’s smart phone on the grounds that Lamb’s employment — making deliveries of luxury vehicles — requires he be accessible on his phone. The ADA representing the Westchester County District Attorney’s Office said they would let the court know if the phone was evidence in the Hate Crime case.

The charge is not bail eligible so Lamb was released on his own recognizance with a return date on the combined dockets before Judge Derrico on September 9, 2021.

In September 2020, the Village Board of Trustees initially voted 3-2 against painting the street mural, but later the same month votes 5-0 to approve painting the mural on Van Ranst Place. The mural, paid for out of private funds, was painted in October.

There is a New Rochelle connection to the BLM mural, the name of Kamal Flowers is painted on the “E” in “LIVES” on the mural. Flowers was shot and killed in New Rochelle on June 5, 2020.

  1. Irrelevant which religion Susan Rosenberg is; that she was a member of the May 19th Communist Organization, an offshoot of the Black Liberation Army which openly activated for the overthrow of the U.S. Government (including support for the Brinks Armored car robbery and murder of three in Nanuet in 1981), and was charged and convicted of possession of 750 lbs of explosives and automatic weapons, however, is quite relevant.

She was also charged with the 1983 bombing of the United States Senate Building (which up until the panty raid in the Capitol on January 6th was “the worst attack on our democracy since the Civil War”.)

Rosenberg served 16 years of a 58 year sentence in federal prison, till Bill Clinton pardoned her, and now sits on the board of directors of Thousand Currents, which funds Black Lives Matter, amongst other Marxist causes.

In a 2015 interview, the founder of Black Lives Matter, Patrisse Cullors, boasted that she and Alicia Garza were “trained Marxists” who were “super-versed” in Marxist ideology. Their guru in all things Marxism had been Eric Mann, ex-con, former Weather Underground leader, pal of Bill Ayers and Bernadine Dorne, who spent time in prison for the same violent tactics that Black Lives Matter deploys today.

That the defacing of the name of the Marxist organization Black Lives Matter on a public street in Mamaroneck is a “hate” crime would be laughable, if it wasn’t so telling of the the pressures the woke mob has on our Mayor and Village officials, and how they’ve cowered under it.

Make no mistake, Black Lives Matter is a radical Neo-Marxist movement pursuing its far left objectives, including defunding the police, dismantling capitalism, and the destruction of the western nuclear family structure.

No American should respect them or bow to their corrupt vision.

  2. Why would a mural of a communist organization that promotes Susan Rosenberg, a Jewish terrorist be painted on a street in america? Are we now living in bolshevic russia?
