NEW ROCHELLE, NY — A homeless man, aged 37, not identified by police, was found unresponsive in Ruby Dee Park this morning near the park entrance on Huguenot Street and Lawton Street. He was found with an empty vodka bottle next to him.
New Rochelle Police responded to a call at about 9:42 a.m. and found the man, unresponsive and with no pulse. The person suffered from an unknown medical condition and collapsed. CPR was done but was unsuccessful. He was pronounced dead at Montefiore New Rochelle Hospital.
There were no signs of foul play, said a police spokesperson.
“We will eventually get an ME report on it,” he said. “It does not appear to be criminal in nature.”
