New Rochelle Police Charge New Rochelle Man for Weapons After Vehicle is Impounded

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — Brandon Gracey, 25 years of age, of New Rochelle, was arrested by New Rochelle Police Detectives on January 19th, 2022 after a gun was found in a car registered to him.

On January 6th, 2022, New Rochelle Detectives were notified that a handgun was found in a vehicle that was being impounded for excessive outstanding parking violations. Detectives developed leads and further investigation revealed that, in addition to the illegal handgun, multiple forged documents were also in the vehicle and a suspect was identified.

Gracey was charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd degree, a C Felony, Criminal Impersonation 2nd degree, an A misdemeanor, Possession of a Forged Instrument 2nd degree, a D Felony, Grand Larceny 3rd Degree, a D Felony.

Mr. Gracey also had two outstanding warrants; one from the City of Rye and one from Nassau County. He was held without bail awaiting arraignment.
