There has been a lot of confusion and misreporting on the ages of the two individuals involved in the shooting West End of New Rochelle. Some reports say they were 16 or 17 or 16/17 or 17/16.
No agency involved is releasing much information and that includes paperwork that might have an age or DOB.
So, we asked. NRPD says they do not release Date of Birth but they do release age.
An NRPD spokesperson replied to our inquiry on ages this afternoon.
“They are both 16. They each have birth years of 2005 with both dates later in the year. Preliminary information was that the victim was 17 and the shooter 16, but that was not accurate.”
We separately confirmed the Date of Birth for Julian Oliveros as May 16, 2005.
