Troopers approached the vehicle and located a box of ammunition on the center console, and Barnes admitted to being in possession of firearms.
While interviewing Barnes, Troopers smelled an odor of alcoholic beverages and Barnes subsequently failed standardized field sobriety tests.
Troopers searched the vehicle and located a loaded Glock 27 .40 caliber handgun, two high capacity pistol magazines, a loaded Smith and Wesson Compass 6.5 Creedmoor rifle, a loaded .22 caliber rifle, an unloaded .270 caliber rifle, and assorted rounds of ammunition.
Barnes was arraigned in New Rochelle City Court and ordered held at the Westchester County Jail on $2,500 cash bail, $15,000 insured bond or $25,000 partially secured bond.
Barnes is due back in New Rochelle City Court on March 3, 2022.
Bob,Do you know what the outcome was when this jackass returned to court
I tend not to follow out-of-state defendants and not so much NYSP (I am busy enough with our hometown crooks).
He has a return date of 3-17-22 ☘️
He was bonded out on 2-28-22
Too bad for Mr.Barnes a few more Miles he would have been released without Bail…
$2,500 should stop him from killing for a day or so….what a Joke
