NEW ROCHELLE, NY (May 8, 2022) — The Sound Shore Chorale will present its “Spring Celebration Concert” on Sunday, May 15, 3:00 pm – 4:00 pm, in the Ossie Davis Theater of the New Rochelle Public Library. Under the direction of Richard Slade, the talented group of professional and amateur vocalists will perform a menu of uplifting choral classics from the interfaith tradition in which it started. Music of Purcell, Pachabel and works by other masters will delight the audience in this celebratory concert.
The Sound Shore Chorale is open to singers from New Rochelle and surrounding communities and has been promoting choral music since 1979, when it was formed for the opening of the current New Rochelle Public Library building. The group performs in a number of local venues. The Chorale rehearses on Monday evenings 7:30 to 9:30 pm, at Trinity St. Paul’s Church on Huguenot Street.
