NEW ROCHELLE, NY (June 3, 2022) — On Friday, June 3rd, the New Rochelle Farmers Market will open for its 14th season.
The market will be held at the Thomas Paine Cottage Museum at 20 Sicard Avenue, off North Avenue, every Friday from 9am to 2pm through October 28th. As in past years, the New Rochelle Farmers Market will gather small farms and small-scale food makers from around the New York region.
The New Rochelle Farmers Market is a grower-producer market, meaning that vendors must be farmers or make food with ingredients purchased from local farms. The few exceptions to this rule are olive oil, chocolate and coffee vendors who can document their sourcing. This season, shoppers can look forward to a wide variety of fruits, vegetables and meats from area farms, including produce from Dagele Brothers Produce. Market favorites Pickle Licious, Orwashers Bakery, and Eggcellent Quiche, will all be back along with many others.
New at the market this year are a variety of beverages, meat, produce and condiments vendors.
Beverages:
Caribbean Hibiscus all natural, non-alcoholic sorrel wine & drink mixer is delightfully cooling and refreshing when mixed with club soda and poured over the rocks. Of course, it makes a great cocktail when combined with one’s liquor of choice too.
Meat, Produce & Condiments:
Sleeping Lion Farm brings their line of delicatessen and meal prep products, all made from grass-fed beef raised on their farm in Cooperstown, NY.
Eltee’s Goods makes small batch, value-added products such as tomato jams from locally sourced ingredients.
Henny Penny Farm raises nurtured, happy animals to produce the healthiest, most nutrient-dense meat possible, as well as to generate artisan-quality woolen products and soaps.

SNAP EBT is welcome – shoppers simply need to visit the manager’s tent to get tokens. Matching Fresh Connect Checks are available. Farmers Market Nutrition Program checks, issued by WIC offices and Seniors’ centers, can be used at the farm stands from June through October.
