RYE, NY (July 1, 2022) — Elaine Hall, 53 and Romal Jarrett, 35, both of Port Chester, NY were arrested Thursday by Rye Police Officers for Petit Larceny after a brief shoplifting spree at a drug store.

Rye Police officers were dispatched to the CVS on Boston Post Road in the City of Rye for a larceny complaint where they worked with CVS loss-prevention.

Hall and Jarrett took merchandise and concealed it, passing all points of purchase without paying, according to RPD.

Both parties were transported to RPD Headquarters for processing — a brief journey of about 100 yards as the CVS is about a 9-iron from the front door of the Rye Police Station.

Among the items stolen were Swiffer wet mopping clothes, 4 large containers of Tide laundry detergent, 6 bars of Dove soap, 2 bottles of Dove shampoo, 1 Downey air freshener and 1 Gain air freshener, 3 bottles of Downey Unstoppable, a scent booster for laundry and a straw broom.

Hall and Jarrett were issued appearance tickets returnable to Rye City court for July 12, 2022.
