ALBANY, NY (August 13, 2022) –“Harry Potter: A Forbidden Forest Experience” will be coming to Franklin D. Roosevelt State Park in Yorktown Heights, NY starting Oct. 22, 2022.
Why it matters: This unique experience will be a “must see” for millions of Harry Potter fans from around the world so tickets will go fast although this first run may be extended for several years.

The experience will be open Monday to Sundays, 5 p.m. to 11 p.m., and last approximately 60-90 minutes. The walking trail takes about 45-75 minutes.
What to expect: Inspired by the iconic Forbidden Forest from the wizarding world and featuring creatures from the Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts series, mesmerizing lights will transform the landscape into a magical outdoor trail. Visitors will discover some of their favorite moments from the books and films and can even practice casting their own spells.
At the end of the trail, visitors will step into a quaint village where they can enjoy delicious food and drinks, as well as a gift shop with merchandise from the Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts movies.
The Wizarding World Of Harry Potter at Universal Orlando menu may offer a preview of the Forbidden Forest menu:

Forbidden Forest NY, VA, UK:
A second Forbidden Forest Experience will take place on the estate of Morven Park in Leesburg, VA outside Washington D.C. on October 29, 2022. The Morven Park tickets are on sale now.
The UK version first took place at Arley Hall in Cheshire last October. The promoters of the UK version have applied for a 5-year run.
According to planning documents submitted to Cheshire East Council, 198,991 Harry Potter fans attended the 2021 event, which ran until January, with 92 per cent of visitors coming from outside the county.
