PLATTEKILL, NY (September 26, 2022) — Laura F. Gomez Rudas, 22, of New Rochelle, NY, has been charged with Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated; an Unclassified Misdemeanor following a traffic stop on the New York State Thruway.
Police narrative:
On September 25, 2022, at approximately 3:00 a.m., State Police stopped a vehicle on I-87 in the town of Plattekill for multiple vehicle and traffic violations.
Gomez Rudas, the driver of the vehicle, was found to be intoxicated. She was taken into custody, transported and processed at SP Newburgh where her blood alcohol content was determined to be 0.21%.
Gomez Rudas was released to a sober third party with appearance tickets returnable to the Town of Plattekill Court on October 17, 2022, at 5:00 p.m.
