Prostitution Sting in New Rochelle, 5 Arrests Made

NEW ROCHELLE, NY (October 17, 2022) — Five people were arrested on prostitution- related offenses.

Arrests & Charges:

Sun Mi Hong, 70, of New York, NY

  • Promoting Prostitution – 3rd, a D Felony
  • Unlicensed Practice of a Profession, an E Felony

Cuijuan Jia, 35, of Sorrento, LA

  • Prostitution, a B Misdemeanor
  • Unlicensed Practice of a Profession, an E Felony

Wen Min Gong, 45, address unknown

  • Prostitution, a B Misdemeanor
  • Unlicensed Practice of a Profession, an E Felony

Xiaona Hu, 47, of Queens, NY

  • Unlicensed Practice of a Profession, an E Felony

Julius Celentano, 71, of the Bronx, NY

  • Patronizing a Prostitute 3rd, an A Misdemeanor

Police narrative:

On Friday October 14th,2022, New Rochelle Police Detectives concluded a Prostitution investigation into The Rivage Spa, located at 514 Main Street, where 5 people were arrested on various prostitution and related offenses. The investigation revealed that the business had an ongoing practice of engaging in prostitution, as well as multiple building code violations. The New Rochelle Building Department responded and further deemed the building unsafe for occupancy at this time.

The prostitution business was openly advertised on a website called “bedpage” a success site to “backpage” along with a second location in New Rochelle.
