NEW ROCHELLE, NY (December 8, 2022) — Two men from the Bronx are facing weapons charges after a ghost gun with a laser sight was found in their Mercedes.

- Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd degree, a C Felony
- Unlawful Possession of a Large Capacity Feeding Device, an A Misdemeanor
Hayale Smith, 24, of the Bronx, NY.
- Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd degree, a C Felony
- Unlawful Possession of a Large Capacity Feeding Device, an A Misdemeanor
Police narrative: On December 7th, 2022, at about 6:51pm, New Rochelle Detectives observed a Mercedes Benz committing multiple traffic violations on the 700 block of Main Street. Detectives conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and encountered the two occupants, both Bronx residents. A DMV inquiry on the vehicle revealed that the registration had been suspended requiring the vehicle to be towed. While initiating tow procedures, Detectives located a loaded 9mm “Ghost Gun” equipped with a laser sight behind the passenger seat. Both occupants were subsequently placed under arrest without incident.
