NEW ROCHELLE, NY (December 21, 2022) — A Yonkers man was arrested on December 6, 2022, and booked on 4 violent felonies. He was remanded without bail to Westchester County Jail on December 7. After a Felony Hearing on December 13, he was given non-monetary bail conditions and ROR’d. That night, back on the street, he began a string of burglaries around Centre Avenue and Main Street. The man entered the basements of buildings and, once inside, was able to burglarize four food establishments: Magnos Grill, Sammy’s Bagels, Subway Sandwiches, and I Got the Juice. He was arrested for the burglaries on December 19.
Dorian K. Holliday, 32, of Yonkers, NY is now facing 4 Counts of Burglary—3rd Degree, all D Felonies, to go with the 4 previous charges, 2 counts of Assault with Intent to Cause Physical Injury with a Weapon, a Class B Felony, 1 count of Assault—2nd. — Class D Felony, and 1 count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon—3rd (previous conviction), a Class D Felony.
Holliday is due back in New Rochelle City Court is tomorrow, December 22.
Holliday was incarcerated at the Westchester County Jail in 2021 on other so-far-unidentified-to-us charges but paroled to Community Supervision on August 13, 2021, so he may also be facing parole violation charges. This case will almost certainly be transferred to the Westchester County Criminal Court.
Police narrative on the burglaries: On December 19th, 2022, New Rochelle Detectives arrested an individual related to four recent commercial burglaries. The burglaries occurred during the early morning hours over a stretch of five days in the downtown area of New Rochelle. Burglaries were reported on December 14th and 16th of two businesses on the 500 block of Main Street, as well as two more on December 19th, of adjoining businesses on the 100 block of Centre Avenue. Investigators developed leads that led to a stop of an individual fitting the description of the suspect. New Rochelle Detectives continued the investigation that ultimately led to the arrest of the individual for all four burglaries.
Following the December 6 arrest, Holliday was arraigned before Judge Eileen Songer-McCarthy in New Rochelle City Court on December 7, 2022. He pleaded not guilty and was remanded to Westchester County Jail in Valhalla, NY.
Holliday had a Felony Hearing on December 13, 2022, before Judge Matthew J. Costa and was given non-monetary bail conditions and ROR’d.
County Jail records list Holliday’s address as 3 Cottage Place in New Rochelle, NY, which is the office of the New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision Reentry Operations. It is most known as the parole office for sex offenders, but Holliday does not appear on the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services.
Holliday was back in front of Judge Costa on the burglary charges on December 20, 2022, and remanded back to County Jail that day.
Holliday is next back in New Rochelle City Court on December 22, 2022, and has another appearance scheduled for January 5, 2023.
