Pelham Man in Fatal Crash on Palisades Interstate Parkway in Rockland County

HAVERSTRAW, NY (March 2, 2023) — A Pelham died in a fatal car crash last week. New York State Police say.

Police narrative: On February 24, 2023, at approximately 6:50 p.m., State Police from the Haverstraw barracks responded to a fatal car crash on the Palisades Interstate Parkway near exit 16 southbound in the town of Stony Point. A preliminary investigation revealed that a 2013 Acura MDX operated by Michael Paradis, age 56 from Pelham, New York, was traveling south at a high rate of speed when the vehicle exited the roadway on the west shoulder, struck a tree and rolled over. Paradis was pronounced deceased at the scene. He was the only person in the vehicle. The is an ongoing investigation.
