New Rochelle Parks Clean-up Weekend 4/22-23

NEW ROCHELLE, NY (March 15, 2023) — The New Rochelle Parks and Recreation Department are teaming up with Volunteer New YorkNew Rochelle Parks Clean-up Weekend on on Saturday, April 22, and Sunday, April 23.

Who: Parks Clean-up Weekend is open to all New Rochelle community members. Volunteers will be tasked with various beautification and outdoor spring-cleaning duties, including trail maintenance, trash removal, playground and beach cleanup, and more. With 13 different projects planned for this weekend of service, residents can choose to support the neighborhood park they enjoy the most throughout the year or is closest to their home. See the parks list and cleanup schedule attached.

How: Interested volunteers can register by visiting volunteernewyork.org/newrochelle or calling 914-948-4452 for more information. An adult must accompany volunteers between 5 and 16 years old. Group and team registrations are also available.

New Rochelle Parks Clean-up Weekend is an annual day of service that brings together neighbors, businesses, and community leaders in a solidified effort to beautify New Rochelle’s parks and foster civic pride. It is one of several volunteer opportunities showcased through Volunteer New York! and the City of New Rochelle’s Volunteer New Rochelle program, which was founded in 2016 to provide residents with year-round opportunities to volunteer where they live and support local nonprofits.
