RYE, NY (April 11, 2023) — A Queens man was arrested after Rye Police found him in a Infiniti G35 reported stolen near Playland Parkway and the Boston Post Road.
Police narrative: On March 28, 2023, around 8:26 AM, a Rye Police Officer observed a vehicle illegally parked on the Playland Parkway ramp off the Boston Post Road. An investigation determined the 2007 Infiniti G35 was reported stolen to the New York Police Department in October of 2022. On March 28, 2023, officers from the City of Rye Police Department arrested the person who occupied the vehicle.
Arrest & Charge:
Josiah Noel, age 20 of South Ozone Park, NY
- Criminal Possession of Stolen Property – 5, a Class A Misdemeanor
Noel was transported to Rye Police Headquarters for processing and was released on an appearance ticket returnable to the City of Re Court for a later date in April.
