MAMARONECK, NY (May 26, 2023) — The Village of Mamaroneck hosted a Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for the new Bark Park at Harbor Island on Saturday, May 20, 2023. In other news, the Village of Mamaroneck has a busy schedule of meetings and events from May 26 to June 4.
Highlights include the opening of Stephen E. Johnston Beach at Harbor Island Park for the Summer 2023 season and the start of seasonal parking at Harbor Island Park on Friday, May 26. The Building & Planning Departments will be closed from 3:00pm to 5:00pm on Friday, May 26 and June 2.
On Saturday, May 27 and Sunday, May 28 there will be sidewalk sales in the village. Mayor Murphy’s Open Office Hours have been rescheduled from Saturday to Sunday, May 28 from 8:00am to 9:30am. Trustee Yizar-Reid’s Open Office Hours have been cancelled.
On Sunday, May 28 at 5:00pm, American Legion Post 90 will hold its Memorial Day Parade and Observances. Village offices will be closed on Monday, May 29 in observance of Memorial Day.
The Flood Mitigation Advisory Committee will meet on Tuesday, May 30 at 7:00pm. This meeting was rescheduled from May 23. On Wednesday, May 31 there will be a Board of Trustees Special Meeting at 4:30pm and an Ethics Board Meeting at 6:00pm.
June begins with the start of hurricane season in the Atlantic Ocean on Thursday, June 1. The Arts Council will meet at 7:00pm and the Zoning Board of Appeals will meet at 7:30pm.
On Saturday, June 3 and Sunday, June 4 there will be a Town/Village Kayak Program from 8:00am to 1:00pm. On Saturday there will also be a free yoga group session from 1:00pm to 2:30pm.
