NEW ROCHELLE, NY (June 2, 2023) — Congressman Jamaal Bowman Ed.D. (NY-16) is hosting the first annual Youth Conference on June 3rd at 3pm at New Rochelle High School. The conference aims to provide students with the opportunity to work with their peers on design challenges related to mental health, the pressure to succeed, queer studies, climate change, gun violence, and childhood hunger.
Students will present their ideas to Congressman Bowman and other elected officials from the community. The press is invited to attend the presentation portion of the Youth Conference starting at 3 pm.
The event will take place at New Rochelle High School, located at 265 Clove Road, New Rochelle, NY 10801. All students participating in the conference have signed media release forms.
The first annual Youth Conference is an opportunity for students in NY-16 to share their ideas and work together to address important issues facing their community.
