LARCHMONT, NY (August 15, 2023) — A Larchmont firefighter was hospitalized as Larchmont FD responded to a structure fire in Larchmont Manor.
On Monday August 14th, 2023 at 5:11 am, the Larchmont Fire Department was dispatched to a reported structure fire at 75 Magnolia Avenue. Engine 35 and Tower Ladder 7 were on scene in less than 3 minutes from notification and found smoke and fire coming from the roof of the residence.
Firefighters quickly ensured all occupants were out of the structure and then proceeded to extinguish all visible fire and check for extension into the building. The fire damage was minimal due to the fast actions of the firefighters and quick notification by the homeowner to 911.
The cause of the fire has been listed as accidental due to an electrical issue.
There were no civilian injuries and 1 firefighter was taken by ambulance to White Plains Hospital for a medical condition.
All units were clear from the scene by 9:00 am.
