NEW ROCHELLE, NY (December 13, 2023) — Three men looted an urban apparel and footwear retailer on Friday but were apprehended by police soon after with the assistance of witnesses.

On Friday December 8th, 2023, at about 2:30 pm, New Rochelle Police responded to the SnipesUSA Clothing store at 440 North Avenue in New Rochelle, previously an EbLens store, on a report of a robbery. The store manager told police that three suspects entered the store and began to load Nike clothing into a garbage bag. As the suspects began to flee, one of them pushed the store manager out of the way of the door before running South on North Avenue and then onto Morris Street.

Witnesses on Morris Street observed the commotion and were able to assist police by obtaining the license plate of the suspects’ car.

With the help of the Westchester County Police Real Time Crime Center, Yonkers Police and Mount Vernon Police, New Rochelle Detectives were able to develop leads that eventually led to the capture of the three suspects.
