Man Stabbed in Stomach in Mamaroneck

MAMARONECK, NY (February 7, 2024) — An argument between two co-workers ended with one man stabbing the other in the stomach.

On Tuesday February 6, 2024, at approximately 8:25 am, the Village of Mamaroneck Police Department

received a 911 call regarding a man having been stabbed in the stomach in the area of 657 Mamaroneck Avenue. Village of Mamaroneck Detectives and Officers, along with officers from the Town of Mamaroneck Police and MTA Police responded to the area and located a 52-year-old male victim from White Plains with a stab wound to the abdomen. Officers rendered aid to the victim and requested an ambulance to the scene.

Officers canvassed the area and located a suspect matching the description of the perpetrator given by the victim. The suspect was later positively identified by the victim as the perpetrator.

The victim was transported to the Westchester Medical Center for further medical treatment where he was immediately taken for surgery.

Currently, his injuries do not appear to be life-threatening.

An investigation revealed that the victim and perpetrator are known to each other and are coworkers. It was learned they had a verbal dispute which turned physical.

Arrest & Charges:

Gener O. Perez-Ramirez, 33, from Mamaroneck, NY

  • Assault – 2, a D Felony
  • Criminal Possession of a Weapon – 4, an A
  • Misdemeanor

Perez-Ramirez was arraigned in the Village of Mamaroneck Court and transported to the Westchester County Jail in Valhalla, NY.
