NEW ROCHELLE, NY (April 11, 2024) — A Queens man was charged with drug and weapon violations after police received a tip of a man in a blue Corvette with Connecticut license plates displaying a handgun.
On April 8th, 2024, at about 4:19 am, New Rochelle Police received an anonymous call
stating a person was seen at the Pit Stop gas station at 819 Main Street displaying a gun.
The caller gave no further information other than that the suspect was driving a Blue Corvette with Connecticut license plates.
Officers canvased the area and located a Blue Corvette with Connecticut plates parked and unoccupied outside the Drake Main Café located at 1 Drake Ave, a short distance away from the Pit Stop gas station. The driver of the Corvette was found, and Officers continued their investigation. The investigation culminated with the driver being found
in possession of illegal drugs and a loaded .45 caliber handgun found in the Corvette. No
further information was found regarding the gun being displayed at the Pit Stop gas station.
