Bronx Man Burglarized Mamaroneck Home, VOMPD Says

MAMARONECK, NY (June 12, 2024) — A Bronx man is facing criminal charges for a burglary in Mamaroneck and stealing a car in New Jersey, police say.

On Monday, June 10, 2024, at approximately 7:54 am, the Village of Mamaroneck Police Department received a 911 call from a victim on South Barry Avenue who reported that a person was observed entering his home and

stealing a bicycle. A description of the suspect was provided to responding officers and detectives who identified a suspect matching the description with the stolen bicycle. The suspect was placed under arrest and transported to police headquarters for arrest processing.

The suspect, was found with a driver’s license, numerous checks, and a debit card, all of which were stolen, as well as a vehicle stolen from Newark, New Jersey earlier in the morning. The stolen vehicle was located in the Village of Mamaroneck, near the scene of the burglary.

  • 2 x Criminal Possession of Stolen Property – 3, a Class D Felony
  • Criminal Possession of Stolen Property – 4, a Class E Felony
  • Criminal Possession of Stolen Property – 5, a Class A
  • Misdemeanor

He was arraigned in Village of Mamaroneck Court and remanded to the Westchester County Jail.
