Three Stabbed in Violent Melee in Downtown New Rochelle

NEW ROCHELLE, NY (July 23, 2024) — New Rochelle Police Detectives are investigating a violent incident which occurred over the weekend in Downtown New Rochelle. Three people were hospitalized and the suspect remains at large.

On Sunday July 21st at about 4:18 am, New Rochelle Police responded to a large

disorderly group on the 200 block of North Avenue. While police officers were clearing the group, they located three adult males each who had sustained stab wounds; one male was stabbed in his leg, another who was stabbed in his back, and another who sustained stab wounds to his back and abdomen.

The suspect had already fled the scene.

The victims were transported to local hospitals where two underwent surgery for their injuries and are now listed in critical but stable condition. The third victim who sustained a stab wound to the leg was discharged from the hospital.

New Rochelle Detectives responded and are actively investigating this incident.
