New Jersey Men with Extraditable Warrants from Delaware Busted in New Rochelle

NEW ROCHELLE, NY (August 5, 2024) — Three men from Paterson, NJ are facing extradition to Delaware after they were arrested in the Home Depot parking lot on Friday afternoon.

On Friday August 2nd, at about 4:12pm, New Rochelle Police were alerted by the

Westchester County Real Time Crime Center that a vehicle linked to a theft of a purse out of Greenburgh was in New Rochelle near Home Depot. New Rochelle Police located the vehicle parked and unoccupied in the Hope Depot parking lot and set up surveillance on the car.

Greenburgh PD Detectives were notified and began to respond to New Rochelle to continue their investigation. Before Greenburgh PD Detectives arrived, three people returned to the suspect vehicle and started to drive away. New Rochelle Officers stopped the vehicle and quickly determined that all three occupants had extraditable warrants out of Delaware and had just made a fraudulent purchase out of the New Rochelle Home Depot. Additionally, Officers observed that there were four PlayStation 5 consoles, two Nintendo Switch gaming devices and other bagged items in plain sight in the vehicle. New Rochelle Detectives quickly found out that these suspects allegedly made another fraudulent purchase at GameStop in New Rochelle before coming to Home Depot. The suspects had a total of $6359.68 of alleged stolen property in their possession. The three suspects were placed into custody without incident by New Rochelle Police for local charges as well as the extraditable warrants out of Delaware.
