On Monday, August 26th at about 7:15 am, New Rochelle Police received a call from the Montefiore New Rochelle Hospital regarding a man that had walked in with a stab wound to his back. NRPD officers responded and interviewed the man. The 43-year-old victim told officers that he was hit on his head and knocked to the ground. The men demanded that the victim give them his money. After handing over approximately $13.00, the victim noticed some blood, but didn’t feel any pain. The suspects, described as three black, males, wearing dark clothing, fled in an unknown direction. After the crime, the victim went home and told his wife what had happened. She looked at his back and told him that he had been stabbed; the victim then went to Montefiore New Rochelle Hospital.
