Written By: Robert Cox

On Saturday, August 24th at about 10:38 pm, New Rochelle Police were called to 45 May Street on a report of a knife-point robbery. The victim, a 23-year-old videographer, had been contacted via Instagram to film a music video at the incident location. When he arrived, he met with two black males, and one Hispanic male – these men turned out to be the perpetrators of the crime. After the victim set up to film the music video, the men confronted him with a knife, and demanded his video equipment (two video cameras, a camera lens, and other videography equipment totaling $5,700.00). After they took the equipment, the suspects ran out of the building. The victim followed, but could not catch them, he then stopped and called the New Rochelle Police. Responding officers were able to ascertain the description of the suspects and broadcast it over the police radio. One New Rochelle Police Officer observed two of the suspects nearby and stopped them.

The victim then identified Lonell Alexander and Kyle Miller as two of the three men who robbed him. In addition to the stolen video equipment, Alexander and Miller were carrying multiple knives, brass knuckles, and a BB gun between them.

New Rochelle Detectives are investigating this crime and looking for the 3rd suspect.
