MAMARONECK, NY (September 3, 2024) — On Wednesday, August 28, 2024, at approximately 6:19 pm, the Village of Mamaroneck Police Department received a 911 call regarding an assault and robbery that took place at the intersection of West Boston Post Road & Orienta Avenue. The victim, a 14-year-old male from Mamaroneck, was walking home when he was attacked and assaulted, and his wallet was stolen. The victim was taken to the Police Headquarters where he completed a report and refused medical attention. Detectives initiated an investigation and identified two suspects.
On Monday, September 2, 2024, a 16-year-old male and a 15-year-old male, both from New Rochelle, NY, were taken into custody by detectives from the Village of Mamaroneck Police Department. Both were arrested and charged with Robbery in the Second Degree, a Class C Felony and Assault in the Third Degree, a Class A Misdemeanor. The 16-year-old was arraigned in Village Court, released to his mother and must appear in Youth Court on a future date.
