Connecticut Man DWI Hit-and-Run Leaves 2 Injured in New Rochelle

NEW ROCHELLE, NY (September 5, 2024) — On September 4th, 2024, at about 7:58pm, a pickup truck exited I-95 Northbound at Exit

16 and had a head on collision with a four door Toyota sedan near the intersection of Garden

Street and Cottage Place before fleeing the scene. The driver, a 28-year-old male and

passenger, a 25-year-old female, of the Toyota sedan sustained minor injuries and were

transported to a local hospital. Officers were able to locate the suspect vehicle at the New

Rochelle Train Station and soon found the driver, who was awaiting a train. Further

investigation led officers to believe the driver was intoxicated and he was placed under arrest

without incident.
