NEW ROCHELLE, NY (September 18, 2024) —. On September 17th, 2024, at about 12:58 am, New Rochelle Police responded to Montefiore New Rochelle Hospital on a report of a stabbing victim who drove himself to the Emergency Room. The victim, a 20-year-old male from the Bronx, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and stated that his girlfriend had stabbed him in the back while they were both at her home in New Rochelle.
While Police were still at the Emergency Room interviewing the victim, the suspect, an 18-year-old female from New Rochelle, arrived and was identified by the victim as his assailant. She was placed into custody without incident and the knife allegedly used in the crime was found on her person.
The victim’s vehicle was secured as evidence due to the significant amount of blood observed in the car. Also found in the car was a .25 caliber handgun. Further investigation lead to arrest of the occupants of that car; the stabbing victim and his friend who accompanied him to the hospital. They were arrested without incident.
