New Rochelle Store Robbed by Bandit Pretending to Have a Gun in His Underpants

NEW ROCHELLE, NY (October 7, 2024) — At approximately 11:24 pm on October 5th, 2024, officers were flagged down by a store clerk at 235 Union Avenue. The clerk reported a robbery that occurred at around 9:54 pm when a Hispanic male, dressed in a white sweatshirt, entered the store demanding cash.

The suspect implied he was armed by repeatedly placing his hand in his waistband. When the clerk attempted to call the police, the suspect seized his phone and threatened him. No firearm was displayed, but the clerk surrendered $150 in cash.
