PORT CHESTER, NY (December 16, 2024) — On Wednesday, at approximately 7:00 PM, a pedestrian was hit by a motor vehicle while crossing Locust Avenue near Edison School, resulting in severe injuries. The Port Chester Police Department is currently conducting an investigation into the incident.
The male pedestrian, believed to be around 70 years old, was found without any form of identification. He was crossing mid-block when the accident occurred. The vehicle involved remained at the scene, and the driver is cooperating with authorities.
PCPD is appealing to the public for help in identifying the victim. Anyone with information about the man’s identity or details about the incident is urged to contact the Port Chester Police Department at 914-939-6332.
PCPD issued a statement thanking Westchester County Police Department Accident Reconstruction Team for their assistance in the investigation and thanking local residents who provided video evidence of the incident.
