NEW ROCHELLE, NY (December 31, 2024) — New Rochelle City Manager Wilfredo Melendez is soliciting applicants for the New Rochelle Board of Ethics. Members are appointed to a five year term by the City Manager, subject to approval by the City Council.
The Board of Ethics duties are outlined in the City Code and include review of financial disclosure statements, ethics complaints and conflicts of interest. The Board is comprised of three members, with one member an officer or employee of the City of New Rochelle. This is an unpaid, volunteer position.
Interested candidates can upload a resume and cover letter on the City website or deliver them in person to the Office of the City Clerk at City Hall, 515 North Avenue during business hours M-F 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. Applications must include name, address, contact information, qualifications, interest in serving, and political party affiliation, if any. Per City Code, no member of the Board may hold an officer’s position in any political party, except that such person may be a member of a county committee of a political party.
Applications must be received by January 9 at 4 PM for consideration.
