RYE, NY (February 17, 2025) — On February 12, 2025, Rye police arrested Lawrence Marks, 61, of Rye Brook, New York, for driving while intoxicated.

At approximately 10:45 p.m., officers responded to a report of an erratic driver at the intersection of Midland Avenue and Sylvan Place. Upon arrival, they found a 2019 Jaguar FPC facing northbound on Midland Avenue, blocking the roadway with heavy front-end damage.

An investigation revealed that Marks was the driver, though the cause of the vehicle’s damage was not immediately clear. Officers conducted Standardized Field Sobriety Tests, which Marks failed.

Marks was taken into custody and transported to Rye Police Headquarters, where he provided a breath sample registering a .12% blood alcohol content. He was released on an appearance ticket, with a court date set for February 25, 2025, in the City of Rye Court.
