NEW ROCHELLE, NY (March 25, 2025) — The New Rochelle Parks and Recreation Department is gearing up for its annual “Egg-Stravaganza,” a festive egg hunt event tailored for the city’s youngest residents. Scheduled for Saturday, April 5, 2025, the event will take place across three local parks, offering toddlers and second graders a morning filled with fun, photo opportunities, and a chance to meet the Easter Bunny.
The event, exclusively for New Rochelle residents, will run from 10:00 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. and is free of charge. However, pre-registration is required, with a first-come, first-served policy in place. A receipt of confirmation will be necessary for admission, according to event organizers.
The “Egg-Stravaganza” will feature egg hunts at three different locations, each with its own schedule. At Five Islands Park, the egg hunt kicks off at 10:00 a.m. sharp, followed by bunny visits at 10:15 a.m. Hudson Park will host its egg hunt at 11:00 a.m., with bunny visits starting at 11:15 a.m. Finally, Davenport Park will hold its egg hunt at 12:00 p.m., with bunny visits at 12:15 p.m. Organizers have also planned a separate mini egg hunt for toddlers at each location to ensure younger children can participate safely.
In addition to the egg hunts, children will have the opportunity to take photos with the Easter Bunny and receive a goody bag. The event is designed to be a community celebration, bringing families together for a morning of springtime activities.
The New Rochelle Parks and Recreation Department encourages residents to register early, as spots are limited.
