NEW ROCHELLE, NY (April 6, 2025) — A routine traffic stop by New Rochelle Police Department officers led to the arrest of a 44-year-old man and the seizure of drugs and firearms on Sunday evening.
At approximately 6:35 p.m., officers observed a vehicle traveling southbound on Memorial Highway with windows tinted beyond legal limits. They initiated a traffic stop and identified the driver and sole occupant as Aldo Nunez of the Bronx.

A thorough search of the vehicle revealed additional evidence, including approximately 95 grams of suspected cocaine, 26 grams of suspected MDMA pills, a loaded Ruger magazine with 10 rounds of .40 S&W ammunition, multiple portable digital scales, large packages of small plastic baggies commonly used for drug distribution, and two boxes of .44 Magnum bullets.
Nunez was arrested and charged under New York State Penal Law with multiple offenses, including two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 2nd Degree, an A-II Felony; Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd Degree, a B Felony; Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 2nd Degree, a C Felony; and Possession of a High-Capacity Feeding Device, an A Misdemeanor.
