RYE, NY (April 11, 2025) — City of Rye Police arrested Luigi F. Mejabarahona, 24, of Rye, on April 10, 2025, charging him with Criminal Trespass in the Second Degree, a Class A misdemeanor, following an incident at a Purchase Street multi-family residence.
At approximately 1:15 p.m., officers responded to a trespass complaint. An investigation revealed Mejabarahona had entered an apartment multiple times while a 15-year-old female was home alone. The minor confronted him, and he left the apartment.
Officers interviewed the minor in the presence of her mother before arresting Mejabarahona. He was transported to Rye Police Headquarters for processing and arraigned in Rye City Court. Mejabarahona was released on his own recognizance with an order of protection issued for the minor.
He is scheduled to return to Rye City Court on April 15, 2025, at 9 a.m.
