New Rochelle Seeks Telecom Committee Members

NEW ROCHELLE, NY (April 12, 2025) — The City of New Rochelle is accepting applications to fill two vacancies on its Telecommunications and Cable Advisory Committee, inviting residents and business community members with telecommunications expertise to apply, city officials said.

The committee, outlined in the City Code, evaluates and reports to the City Council on developments in the telecommunications industry that may affect the community. It also advises the council on cable telecommunications policy and proposed cable television franchises.

Comprised of seven members, the committee serves three-year terms in unpaid, volunteer positions appointed by the City Council.

Applicants must submit a resume, cover letter, and contact information, including their qualifications and interest in serving, either through the city’s website or in person at the Office of the City Clerk at City Hall, 515 North Avenue, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Applications are due by noon on April 10, 2025.
